This New Product Brief (NPB) is part of a video series highlighting the features, applications, and technical specs of newly-released products.

Omron D6T Series MEMS Thermal Sensors

Omron D6T Series MEMS Thermal Sensors are designed for non-contact temperature sensors and presence detection. The sensors continuously measure temperature, enabling detection of moving and stationary people or objects. D6T series sensors include single element sensors with a narrow or wide field of view options as well as 1x8 and 4x4 arrays. Sensors are available to measure temperatures from -40°C to +80°C, with resolution as low as 0.02°C and ±1.5°C accuracy. Low visual field crosstalk enables precise area temperature detection, and measurements are output on an I2C interface, providing high noise immunity. The sensors are ideal for use in energy saving systems, security systems, and factory automation.

  • Configurations: 1x1 narrow FOV, 1x1 wide FOV, 1x8, 4x4
  • Detection range: up to -40°C to +80°C
  • Temperature resolution (NETD): as low as 0.02°C
  • Temperature accuracy: as low as ±1.5°C
  • Low visual field crosstalk
  • Output: I2C
